Smoke

Smoke is a dark liver roan female, 52 pounds, close to solid liver at a distance, and the best pheasant dog I own. She hunts closer than the males, 60 to 120 yards, and she has a way of getting around a running rooster and pinning it between us. She is my first choice for cattails and thick creek bottoms. She scored 110 in Natural Ability, earned a Prize II in Utility with 195, and has her AKC Senior Hunter. She is a natural retriever who delivers to hand and loves the water. She is the dam of the current litter by Drift, her second litter. She is an easy whelper and a patient mother, and her first litter produced three Natural Ability Prize I dogs out of four tested.
